Description of the experience

Chestnut is one of the added value products for the municipality of Aguiar da Beira and the village of Barranha, in the parish of Eirado, namely the Martaínha and Longal varieties, with Soutos da Lapa Protected Designation of Origin. Between October and November, chestnut picking is one of the traditional activities of the people of this "Village of Portugal".

"Let's go to Chestnuts" allows participants to experience traditional chestnut harvesting with the local producer, tasting this autumn fruit much appreciated around the world and being offered a "magusto".

Includes:

- Crusher and bucket for harvesting;

- Traditional breakfast;

- Magusto lunch.
