Discover the heritage of the Dão Region, in Aguiar da Beira, Mangualde, Nelas, Penalva do Castelo and Sátão, on a journey to discover and experiment with craft techniques passed down from generation to generation. A journey through various periods of history, from Neolithic monuments to medieval pillories and the palatial houses of modern times.

It's also a journey through the intangible heritage inherent in embroidery, basketry, glass and textile techniques, as well as gastronomic products. Discover the stories behind each product, each technique and each person who keeps the region's handicrafts alive.

Promoted by the Dão Development Association in partnership with the Viseu Dão Lafões Intermunicipal Community, the main aim of the Craft Creative Tourism project is to structure a route around the resources and craft products and practices present in the region.

This initiative is based on the excellence of endogenous resources linked to handicrafts, namely raw materials, artisans and other agents associated with regional know-how.
